Does KeraLase Work for Everyone?
KeraLase is not recommended for patients with:
- Skin cancer on the scalp
- Active scalp infections
- Allergies to KeraFactorMD products
Additionally, KeraLase is not effective for persistent bald spots, alopecia areata, frontal fibrosing, Lichen Plano Pilaris, Trichotillomania or scarring alopecia.
What Can I Expect During the Procedure?
KeraLase treatments typically take 30 minutes or less. You may feel a warm feeling as the laser is used.
Though no downtime is required, you should avoid direct sunlight and refrain from washing your hair for 24 hours after treatment.
Your provider will work with you to determine how many sessions will best benefit your needs. Typically, people complete six sessions of KeraLase spaced out 4-6 weeks.
